kids craft: paper plate tractors

beep! beep! honk! honk!

one of ben's favorite things is getting to operate the coveted glue stick.  he may not always get the glue exactly were it is supposed to go, but practice makes perfect, right??  being a three year old, his attention span is still that of a gnat, so whenever we sit down to do a project of any kind it has to be one of those that needs to be quick & as painless as possible.

another of his favorite things are vehicles. any kind of vehicle. if it has wheels, he is sold.   speaking of vehicles, have you ever watched mighty machines on netflix?  *wild tangent alert* while most of the episodes irk my last nerve, i throughly enjoy the farming one.. never knew how they harvested grapes or tomatoes until i watched it.. very very interesting, so check it out sometime..

this project takes just a few minutes & you probably already have all the supplies on hand.

supplies:
paper plate
construction paper - yellow, green, black
glue
scissors

^^^ begin by cutting the bottom off your your plate & then the top corners to give yourself this look.  also cut out a square to give you a nice little window..  if you have littles, you may need to do this part so no injuries occur.

^^^ cut up your green paper into squares & have your little glue them all over the paper plate.  while they are gluing, you can cut out your tires and headlight.. have them glue those into position when ready.

display, play & enjoy..
